If you’re experiencing any issues with your cars handling, visit our workshop today for an assessment of your car’s steering and suspension. To find out more, contact us today.

Brake Repairs and Servicing

Having properly functioning brakes is vital to your safety when driving. Worn or damaged brake parts can result in decreased stopping power, increasing your stopping distance in an emergency. We  are an ATE Brake Centre and can repair and replace brake pads, rotors, hoses, drums and discs for your vehicle. We only use quality ATE parts in our repairs to ensure that we maximise the longevity and reliability of all our work. ATE brake products are ceramic, making them dust-proof, which increases the longevity of all brake repairs.

Exhaust Systems

The exhaust of your vehicle is responsible for dispelling gases produced during combustion in your engine. As your engine burns fuel, it produces emissions that need to be dispelled quickly and efficiently. If your exhaust is worn, cracked or not flowing efficiently, this can dramatically decrease the power and fuel efficiency of your car.

A worn or damaged exhaust can also be louder and make rattling noises if any mounting points have cracked or broken. For an assessment of your car’s exhaust system, contact us today.

RWC and Other Vehicle Inspections

When a secondhand car changes ownership, it requires a roadworthy certificate which verifies that it can be legally driven on Victorian roads.

The roadworthy certificate is issued by a licensed tester, after a thorough inspection that ensures the vehicle is safe to drive.

It does not ensure the vehicle is in good condition, which is why we recommend pre-purchase inspections when you’re buying a secondhand vehicle. This way you know exactly what youre buying and can avoid any nasty surprises.

When you’re planning a long road trip, we would recommend a pre-trip inspection. This way any issues with your vehicle can be treated before you set off, and can enjoy your trip with peace of mind.

ALS Automotive is a licensed testing station and can help you with roadworthy, pre-purchase and pre-trip inspections

Tyre Services

Your tyres might seem simple at first, but they are actually marvels of modern engineering. They are designed to continue to provide grip even as they wear (as long as your wheels are aligned) and in wet weather, the treads of your tyres act as channels to divert water away from where the tyres meet the road surface, and prevent aquaplaning. Once your tyres are over 5 years old, you should have them checked at least once a year to make sure they’re still providing appropriate grip on the road surface.

ALS Automotive can help you with:

  • Car tyres
  • 4WD tyres
  • Light Commercial (vans and utes) tyres
  • Tyre fitting
  • Tyre balancing
  • Tyre rotation
